Testlab Outbreak V.57-411 (Dec 2007)

Very happy to present the last Outbreak of the year 2007 on the very last day of the year.

This time I went for a mid to small size folder for easy carry yet still have plenty blade to do the job. The blade is 3" worth of .200" thick RWL-34 at 60Rc. The frame is .130" titanium with shadowboxed orange G10 with a techno-2 texture....evolved from the Techno texture of Outbreak v.29-587...I think both these techno textures has potential and I am sure you will see more of both and also some mutated versions as I develop it further. The overall lenght is 6 3/4" giving you max blade to handle ratio. This is a semi small knife yet it seems to be able to do a much larger job than the size implies.

As usual 5 will be made of this model while in the Test phase.
Contact me at outbreak@ansoknives.com for further information and to be put on the newsletter list for new Outbreaks. Also check out the Outbreak site at http://www.testlab-outbreak.com

Happy New Year!!

Whats on the table in the Anso shop?

Thinking of doing this thread as an ongoing project...posting pictures and telling alittle about what I have currently in the works...both for customer so they can see I actually DO work now and then and for interested people in general...I will be emailing the customers who have work in progress so this should also work as a "hey thats my knife in the pictures ;)

on the table these days are 3 Auto Amoks....I have 4 that I need to work on in the near future...the first two are pretty far in the process..what we have here is Bertie Reitweld damascus for the blades...damascus for the bolsters and stellar sea cow/ wallrus for the handles...the last has a blade in Damasteel and will have Mike Norris bolsters and mammoth ivory for handles.

I also had a batch of blades though the heattreater last week....most of these here are on the to do list over the next couple weeks.
